I do agree that the future is online, like me.. I usually get all the information I want through the internet, as it is very easy also if we are purchasing items it's much more convenient online isn't it..

I think they're doing the same with iphone apps -- some are offering freemium, e.g. IM+ lite and IM+ Pro, and some are supported by ads, e.g. Twitterific, and others do a mix.

Congrats on MBA move. Anderson is a great choice. I'm sure you'll learn a
lot from the program.

Yes. You're definitely right in that the development of the web contributed
directly to the so called commonditization of information. But I was just
trying to analyze, using econ framework, the viability of this new free info
"industry," if you will -- because it's in everyone's interests if it can
be. And based on my analysis, free does seem to be the natural result of
market mechanism.

I do not see from a economy stand point.
The free information is simply the result of web site, the devleopment of online worlds.
It is no longer a hire journalist that publishes his or her opinion.
Anyone can have a blog and share their view point.
I see this as a great outcome of the world wide web~~!
Of course I did not neither of the books so maybe I'm completely off?!

Hey, by the way, I'm started part time MBA this fall with UC Irvine..... ^_^

Jamie,

Thanks for the smart post, but one clairification. The tweet about this being a PR conspiracy was a joke (obvious I thought, but maybe a bit too inside NY media to translate elsewhere).

Chris
